Vehicle Related Nuisance

Alert message sent 20/02/2021 09:13:00

Information sent on behalf of Hampshire Constabulary

Good Morning,

Hart North Rural Neighbourhood Policing Team recently held there latest Police and Together Community Meeting (PACT) with local councillors and community representatives. These meetings, held quarterly, look to identify a community priority. These are the policing issues which matter to you.

Following our latest meeting we will be spending the next quarter tackling vehicle related nuisance. This is an issue which looks to be effecting various areas of the beat with both on and off road incidents being noted.

Off road activity has been noted within Bramshill Forest whereby quads and other off road motor vehicles have been using the areas and coming into conflict with the public.

On road activity has been noted on the B3349 outside Wellington Country Park whereby vehicles are gathering during the hours of darkness and using the roundabout for drifting.

Both these identified issues are illegal and will be targeted.

We will be looking to work with our partner agencies for longer term solutions. In the meantime, we will look to initiate a policing response which will seek to target those who are offending.

In order for this to be most effective we need your help. Please ensure any witnessed on or off road vehicular nuisance incident is reported to us. You can do this via 101 or online at our website, www.hampshire.police.uk. We will be looking to maximise any investigative opportunities and as such any evidence you are able to gather will be of great benefit.

We will look to keep you updated on this priority and look forward to tackling this issue.
