Theft from vehicle and attempted burglary - Amendment

Alert message sent 11/01/2021 17:07:00

Information sent on behalf of Hampshire Constabulary

Good evening,

The message below was sent out last week however the year was incorrect and should have read 2021.

A further note for your awareness is to keep a look out for anything suspicious such as black tape being put over security light sensors, as this was observed at one of the reported incidents. If you notice anything unusual like this please contact 101 or report via the online reporting system, which can be found on the Hampshire constabulary website: www.hampshire.police.uk

At some point between the evening of the 5th January 2021 and the morning of the 6th of January 2021 Andover has experienced several cars being broken into where some items have been stolen and on one incident the perpetrators have entered a vehicle and then tried to gain entry to a residence.

These incidents took place around the Millway, Harroway and the St Mary's area of Andover however these criminals tend to move around to different locations so we would like to encourage everyone to remain vigilant, keep your vehicles and homes secure and to also make sure no valuables are left on show in the vehicles.

If you witness anything unusual or suspicious please contact police with the information.

Kind regards,

Andover Neighbourhood Policing Team
