Information sent on behalf of Hampshire Constabulary

Residents will be aware that on January 2nd, a dog walker in Knowle was recently approached in a threatening manner by someone who wanted to take his dog.  Thankfully, this was averted and the males ran away.

This is a RARE event around the Meon Valley area, but it is serious and police ask that all dog walkers take care when out walking their pets, and to not only note - but report - anyone or anything which you feel is suspicious.

Police will, of course, maintain a presence in the area but we cannot be there 24/7.   Pets are part of the family and give much love, comfort and support - especially in these hard times.

Please let police know as well as alerting residents on social media.

Happy New year from PCSO Towler and the entire Meon Valley Neighbourhoods team.
