Dear resident

Our apologies, our previous message had an error within it. The home we are talking about is on Bond Road.

See below the updated information. Thank you.

We would like to inform that we are currently at a home on Bond Road conducting an investigation into firearms and drugs supply.

Yesterday (June 19) we executed a warrant at the address and arrested two men.

A 40-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A – Cocaine, manufacturing a weapon / device / ammunition specified in section 5(1) of the Firearms Act 1968, possession of a controlled drug of Class B – Cannabis, and possession of a controlled drug of Class A.

A 47-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of manufacturing a weapon / device / ammunition specified in section 5(1) of the Firearms Act 1968.

Both men are from Southampton and both remain in police custody at this time.

We remain at the address today carrying out a number of enquiries. As part of the investigation, we have carried out a thorough search of the property. This afternoon we have called out the Explosive Ordinance Disposal team to assist us and we have evacuated two properties as a precaution at this time.

We understand that the local community maybe concerned about this police activity, however we want to inform you about what is happening in your neighbourhood.

If you have any information in relation to this investigation that may assist us, please call 101 and quote 44200222943.
