Alert message sent 05/03/2020 10:57:00

Information sent on behalf of Hampshire Constabulary

Dear residents,
Please be aware we have had suspicious people/vehicles reported to us in your area over the previous few days. Please use this as a reminder to protect yourself from becoming a victim of crime, specifically burglary.
Register an account with Immobilise at This allows you to register your property, and gives you a far better chance of getting it back if it is lost or stolen.
To help protect yourself from a dwelling burglary, please make sure to:
- Lock ALL doors & windows, even if you are in the house.
- Install CCTV to capture activity on your premises. Consider putting cameras that aren’t as visible to capture individual’s faces.
- Leave all valuables out of sight, this removes the temptation.
- Make it look as if you are home if you aren’t by leaving a radio on, light timer switches etc.
- Shut all curtains and blinds at night.
- Consider a house alarm, and set it every time you leave your property.

To help protect yourself from a non-dwelling burglary, please make sure to:
- Lock ALL outbuildings/sheds.
- Install motion lighting.
- Install CCTV to capture activity on your premises.
- Install an alarm. Battery powered alarms can be used as a valuable deterrent.
- Make it as hard as possible for a possible offender to get in and out of your property.
