Advice to dog owners following death of deer at Isle of Wight Deer Farm

We’re reminding dog owners to keep their dogs on leads near livestock following the death of a deer at the Isle of Wight Deer Farm in Newport.
The fallow deer was killed between 8.30pm and 8.45pm on 20 November, and the farm believe it was a dog that caused the fatal injuries.
If you have any information about this incident, please call the Country Watch team on 101, quoting 44190418627.
While it’s not illegal to have a dog off a lead near livestock, it is illegal to not have them under close control.
