Hello Residents,
Here is your latest update:
Theft of Vehicle - A car was stolen from Belmont Heights and a Land Rover stolen from Purcell Close. Both were keyless vehicles.
A motor scooter was stolen from CROPMARK WAY and a motorbike stolen from THE CORNFIELDS.  Both were found abandoned a short distance away.
Theft from Vehicles –A laptop from taken from a car in LYMINGTON CLOSE.  Loose change taken from a car in CORINTHIAN CLOSE and change and a £10 note taken from a car in SHERWOOD CLOSE.
None of the vehicles were damaged so it is likely they were left unlocked.
Number plates were stolen from vehicles in HAYDN ROAD, BORODIN CLOSE and HOMESTEADS ROAD.
There have been an increase in residential burglaries since the last update. These have occurred throughout Basingstoke.   
A property was broken into in CYPRUS ROAD and a safe and cash stolen.  No sign of forced entry.
A property in WORCESTER AVENUE was broken into.  Access was gained via the side gate and then through the rear dog flap.
In HIGHWOOD RIDGE access was gained into the conservatory by smashing the rear glass door.
A property in JASMINE ROAD was broken into while the owners were on holiday.  Point of entry was through a side door and jewellery and other items taken.
In HERON WAY jewellery and watches were stolen and access is believed to have been through the front window.
A watch and aftershave were stolen from a property in BUNTING MEWS after entry was gained by smashing the front door.
We are currently investigating an attempted murder, which took place between 10.30pm and 10.53pm on Thursday, October 31, 2019 in GERSHWIN ROAD.
The 31-year-old victim, a man from Basingstoke, has life threatening injuries and we are making enquiries to establish the exact circumstances of the incident.
