We are issuing a CCTV image of two women that we would like to speak to after a shoplifting incident at Tesco Extra on Brading Road in Ryde on Saturday (22 August) evening.

At around 6pm more than £260 of groceries were stolen from the store. We would like to speak to the two women pictured who were seen in the store at the time who may be able to assist our enquiries.

The first woman is described as:

White.

Aged in her early forties.

She had blonde hair and was wearing a denim jacket, glasses, white shorts with black stripes, and was carrying a black bag.

The second woman is described as:

White.

Aged in her late twenties or early thirties.

She had blonde hair with brown roots and was wearing a blue crop top, black shorts, and sunglasses.

We will not tolerate this kind of offending and will work hard to ensure that shoplifters face their day in court wherever possible. To do this we encourage local shops to continue to report incidents to us so that we can take robust action.

re able to use any appropriate security equipment such as panic alarms.

Make sure CCTV cameras are in good working order, the position provides the best possible coverage and they are serviced annually.

Remind staff to report any suspicious activity to the manager or the police. Details should also be recorded and include: date, time, description of person.
