Officers investigating a reported racial abuse incident in Southsea are releasing images of two women they would like to speak to as part of their enquiries. We received a report that between 8:30pm and 9:00pm on Saturday 30 May, five women aged between 19 and 23 were inside the arcade at Clarence Pier in Southsea, when they were approached by two women who verbally abused them, made racist comments, and threatened them with violence. No one was physically hurt and the five women moved away to a different area of the arcade. Officers have been carrying out enquiries, such as reviewing CCTV, and would like to speak to two women who were in the area at the time and may be able to provide further information. If you recognise these women, or witnessed this incident, please report to us by calling 101, or by reporting online via the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary website, quoting incident number 44260256219.
