Appeal for witnesses and footage following serious road traffic collision in Cosham |

We are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage following a serious road traffic collision in Cosham. The incident occurred at the junction of Medina Road and Sixth Avenue between 4.10pm and 4.20pm on Friday 27 February. The collision was between a white Ford Transit Tipper van and an e-scooter. The rider of the of the e-scooter, a man in his 50s from Portsmouth, was taken to hospital with serious injuries, which are potentially life threatening. The driver of the van, a 37-year-old man from Portsmouth, was detained at the scene. He was arrested on suspicion of causing injury by dangerous driving, driving a vehicle whilst unfit through drugs, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence, and using a motor vehicle on a road without third party insurance. He has since been released on bail, pending further enquiries. We would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the collision. Do you recall witnessing anything of the incident?
