ARREST - Catapult Offences in Hart North |

Good afternoon!
Officers from Yateley Neighbourhood Policing Team have arrested two males following an incident involving the use of a catapult in Yateley.
This afternoon, Wednesday 25th February, officers were called to reports of individuals using a catapult near to lakes adjacent to Sandhurst Lane, Darby Green. Patrols attended and located two males identified via enquiries at the time. Both were detained and searched under Section 1 of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act.
During the search, officers recovered a catapult and a quantity of metal projectiles from near where the search took place. As a result: A 12‑year‑old male from Blackwater was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and intentionally injuring a wild bird.
Both have been returned to their home address have been de-arrested while the investigation continues.
