Drink Driving |

NEW YEAR, SAME OLD PROBLEMS! - A vigilant member of the public reported a male sitting in his car, drinking from a vodka bottle this afternoon. Officers arrived just as the driver was heading out of the car park he was parked in, they stopped him and did a road-side breath test on him.
He provided a sample that was over the prescribed limit for alcohol. A review of his driving documents showed that he had previously had his licence revoked, as such he did not have insurance to drive any vehicle. The driver has been taken to Portsmouth Custody Centre to be processed and his car has been recovered until such time as someone with a licence to drive and insurance for the vehicle can collect it.
There is absolutely no reason to drink and drive, if you feel you or someone you know might need help with alcohol addiction please use the following link https://orlo.uk/A80Rk
Thank you to the member of the public that called us 👍🏼
