Man charged with possession of knife in the night-time economy

A man has been charged with possession of a knife following an incident in Southampton’s night-time economy over the weekend.

At 10.53pm on Saturday (2 July), we were called to Carlton Place following a report by door staff that a man trying to enter their venue had a knife on him.

Kane Bell, 18, of Greenfields Avenue, Totton, has been charged with possession of a knife, blade or sharply pointed article in a public place.

He appeared at Southampton Magistrates’ Court this morning (4 July) where he was bailed with conditions to appear at the same court on 4 November.
