Good Afternoon,
Last weekend officers from the South/West Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) carried out joint patrols alongside the Community Safety Patrol Officers (CSPOs) from Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council. This was to enforce the Section 34 Dispersal Order which had been put in place to tackle Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) within the Hatch Warren and Beggarwood areas.
Together both agencies worked together to disperse large groups of youths who were causing ASB at the Hatch Warren Community Centre and the Hatch Warren Retail Park, giving residents, businesses and local youth clubs in the area a break from these issues. Some of those who were identified to be causing issues have had follow up visits with their parents. Others have been banned by local businesses due to their behaviours.
We understand people would like to enjoy the nicer weather we are having, but we are asking that people are more considerate and respectful of those around them, especially in public areas.
We will continue to work alongside our partner agencies to tackle Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB).
