I am writing to you as we have noticed an increase in theft of vehicles within the area.  We would like to bring this to your attention so that you can further secure any high value vehicles, and ask that if you know of friends or family that have valuable vehicles who are not signed up to Hampshire Alerts, please could you pass this information on and let them know.  Please also encourage them to sign up to Hampshire Alerts.

There are many methods you can further secure your vehicles:

Parking in a garage ( although I appreciate many garages are not used for cars anymore).

Using tracker systems

Purchasing and using physical deterrents; a steering wheel lock, wheel clamp, driveway bollards

Parking a less desirable vehicle behind if possible.

Make use of camera doorbells, home cctv

Keeping keys within a faraday bag/box.

Keeping keys out of sight and reach of windows, doors and letterboxes
