Basingstoke officers secure partial closure order after reports of ASB at Oakley property

Officers from Basingstoke’s Rural Neighbourhood Team and Priority Crime Team have secured a partial closure order at an address in Oakley.

On Friday 12 April, Basingstoke Magistrates Court was presented with evidence of anti-social behaviour at the property on Chestnuts Close.

The closure order was granted and it now means that no-one other than those authorised on the court order will be allowed to enter or remain at the address for the next three months.

If they do, they will be committing a criminal offence and can be arrested.

The order was obtained following partnership work with our officers, Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council and VIVID.

Basingstoke Rural Police Sergeant Martyn Evans said: “We have taken these steps after receiving reports of anti-social behaviour at an address in Oakley.

“The activities of those living and visiting the address have had an enormous impact on local residents, and we would like to thank the community for their help and patience while we gathered evidence to secure this order.

“Our officers will continue to do everything they can to help prevent anti-social behaviour in Basingstoke and Deane.”
