Do you recognise this man?

Officers investigating an assault in which a man sustained serious injuries to his face in Southampton would like to speak to him in connection with their enquiries.

Shortly after 1am on Saturday 2 September 2023 the victim, a man in his 20s, was punched to the face by a man unknown to him on Vernon Walk. He sustained several fractures to his face as a result of the incident and attended hospital for treatment. 

Since this incident was reported to us, police have been following all lines of enquiry available to us and have obtained this image of a man, seen in the area at the time of the assault, who we would like to speak to in connection with our investigation. 

We appreciate that the image is not particularly clear, however it is the best that we have available at the current time and we believe someone may recognise the man pictured.
