I am aware from speaking with local residents when out and about that often, the complexity of scams / fraud causes concern.  As such please see the below which provides several dates when you can ‘attend’ an online session to help keep yourself, and your loved ones safe from fraud.  Please do share this information with others and encourage them to sign up, and to attend any of the events.

Cybercrime and cyber related fraud awareness sessions

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Police Cyber Protect Team are delivering interactive sessions covering different aspects of both online and offline scams, methods to keep yourself safe and spot behaviour which may be the start of someone trying to ‘scam’ you.

Cyber and Cyber-related fraud makes up a large number of reported crimes each month and costs local residents and communities significant sums of money each day, week and year. With a few simple tips you can keep yourself safer and spot these offences before they develop.
