Good morning,
Over recent days we’ve seen an increase in reports of unknown person(s) trying car door handles and in some cases gaining entry into the vehicle and removing items. These type of incidents are often opportunistic and the offenders target a number of vehicles hoping to find ones that have been left unlocked. We want to remind residents to be extra vigilant and to ensure their vehicles are always left secure and locked with no valuables left inside.
Details of the incidents reported in this area below:
On the 31/07/2024 between 03:00-03:30 several vehicles were targeted in St. Nicholas Court, South Ham. One resident reported having their work mobile phone stolen.
On the 28/07/2024 around 23.55 a vehicle was targeted on Owen Way, Rooksdown.
Between the 30/07/2024 18:30 and 31/07/2024 06:30, a vehicle was targeted on Coates Close, Brighton Hill. A wallet was stolen from inside the vehicle.
On the 31/07/2024 between 04:00-04:30 several vehicle were targeted on Porter Road, Brighton Hill.
