Man charged with burglary and aggravated vehicle taking following offences across Hampshire

Shane Jonathan Kimber, 25, from Southampton, appeared at Southampton Magistrates Court today (Saturday 17 August) charged with three counts of burglary, five counts of aggravated vehicle taking, and three counts of fraud.
 
This is in relation to the following allegations:
 
  • Burglary in Knights Meadow, North Baddesley, on 17 May. A purse was stolen and a Citroen C3 was stolen from the driveway.
  • A Ford Focus Zetec was taken from Olive Road, Southampton, on 5 June.
  • Burglary in Horseshoe Close, Fareham, between 10 June and 13 June. Handbag and wallet stolen, and Peugeot 206 stolen from driveway.
  • Burglary in Ambrose Way, Romsey, between 10 June and 13 June. Wallet and handbags stolen, and BMW and Audi stolen from the driveway.
The fraud charges relate to the alleged use of stolen bank cards.

Kimber was remanded in custody following today’s hearing.
