Information sent on behalf of Hampshire Constabulary

.
Hello,
I hope you are all enjoying the lovely warm weather and are remembering to close your windows when not at home.

Since the last update there have been several cases of burglary.
Two properties in CUMBERLAND AVENUE had outbuildings broken into, with an expensive bike being stolen.
ASDA had an attempted break into their outside cash machine.
An attempt was made to gain entry into a house in TULIP CLOSE, luckily no entry was gained.
The ONE STOP shop was targeted by a male and female who distracted staff in order to steal cash from the register at the Post Office.

Criminal damage – 5 vehicles were damaged in an arson attack at a property near to WINCHESTER ROAD. A conservatory window was smashed in PORTER ROAD.  Two vehicles had windscreens smashed in LONGWOOD COPSE LANE and an arrest was made and the investigation is ongoing.

Theft from vehicles - a distraction incident happened in the carpark of ASDA as a shopper was putting  shopping into the boot of a vehicle.  A male caused a distraction by asking for directions while another male searched through a handbag in the boot of the car, and stole bank cards.

A wind screen wiper was ripped from a vehicle in ARCADIA CLOSE and a wing mirror was stolen from a vehicle in BRITTEN ROAD.

ASB- moped and quad bikes are still causing a nuisance to local residents in Hatch Warren Park.
There have been two reports of teenagers climbing onto the roof of Gillies Health centre.

On a final note, with the summer holidays just around the corner, please make sure you know where your child is and what they are doing.

Kind regards
PCSO Doherty
