Alert message sent 13/06/2019 09:51:00

Information sent on behalf of Hampshire Constabulary

Reports of number plate theft from Blendworth Lane Cark, Horndean which occurred overnight between dates/times 11/06/2019 17:00hrs - 12/06/2019 08:00hrs if you have any information that may help police enquiries then please contact 101 and quote reference 44190201139

How to protect your plates
  • Use a garage at night if you can
  • Park in busy, well-lit areas if you have to park on the street
  • Use safe, well-lit public car parks
  • Consider using security screws which can be turned easily using a screwdriver to fit them but can’t be undone using normal tools.
  • Consider using theft-resistant number plates which may cost a little more but are designed to resist known attack methods and will break apart if someone tries to remove them by force.

Please ensure you are vigilant at all times, calling police to report any suspicious activity, not just around your own property but anything suspicious in your residential area and community. In an emergency use 999 or 101 for non-emergency. It is not too late to report any suspicious activity to police.
