WEST END Thefts Burglaries Witness Appeal Please Be Alert and Aware

 Dear Citizen ,
This is a Witness Appeal and Crime Awareness / Prevention Alert for the below incidents in West End. Please take the time, to be aware of what crime prevention measures you can consider, to keep your home and property secure - Click HERE and see the attachments.
Please don’t think this can’t happen to you, a large number of crimes are purely opportunistic – door/s open / unlocked, window open, items in view and or, easy reach. If you see anyone trying or house / garage door/s, or car door/s CALL 999 IMMEDIATELY – so we have a chance of catching the offenders. With any detail possible – clothing type / colours / direction of travel.
We are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

  • High Street - Burglary Residential. 13/05/2019 12:00 – 12:30. Ref 44190164848.
    Aggrieved reports that two males have entered the garage and shed and have stolen items. One of the males was seen to knock aggrieved’s door first, then both went along drive and climbed over garden wall. They exited the same way soon after and made off carrying items in bags. Both garage and shed had been unlocked so no forced entry. Items stolen, Karcher window cleaner, vodka, beer and car cleaning products, worth about £100.


  • Moorgreen Road - Burglary Residential. 13/05/2019 08:30 - 19:00. Ref 44190164944.
    Informant has returned home to find 2 small glass panels of the front door smashed.  Entry gained to property by u/k person/s. A pair of size 10 grey and black Adidas Yeezy trainers as well as pair of Adidas Deerupt trainers have been stolen.


  • Upper New Road - Burglary Residential. Found 12/05/2019 19:47. Ref 44190163641.
    Detached property, wooden door with glass panes located at side of house forced open and glass panes smashed.


  • Torridge Gardens – Theft from vehicle. Between 13/05/19 19:00 - 14/05/19 07:00. Ref 44190165259.
    Aggrieved’s locked car been entered overnight and purse stolen, no damage cause. Parked on driveway, glove box and centre console have been searched.


  • Mill Gardens – Suspicious person/s. Approx. 04:30hrs on 14/05/19, Ref 44190165225.
    Group of 6 males were trying several houses in the area and were trying car door handles.


  • Mill Gardens - Theft from vehicle. 14/05/2019 04:30 - 05:00 Ref 44190165209.
    The vehicle was parked on the driveway, No damage or forced entry. 5 x designer sunglasses stolen, were all kept inside the centre console.


  • Mill Gardens – Suspicious circumstances. 14/05/2019 04:26 - 04:36. Ref 44190165194.
    Inft reporting that somebody has tried to open the front door. 5 males all in dark clothing and beanie hats. 1 is acting as lookout.

Please Help Us To Prevent Crime -
Keep your car locked and remove all valuable property from your car, including any bags and coats. Pull your car handle to CHECK it’s locked.
Thieves have and will, break into cars for bags and coats, due to the possibility they may contain valuables. Thieves are also searching unlocked vehicles for ANYTHING including, chargers, loose coins, sunglasses and keys.
Please check your sheds & garages are locked and that property inside is secured and recorded on -
