Hello Hayling Island!
Here are some incidents of note that Hampshire Constabulary have been dealing with throughout April 2019 on Hayling Island, including Burglaries, Criminal Damage, Theft, Drugs-related offences and Road Traffic offences.

23 - 24/04/2019 - Ref 44190140335
Between 16:00 and 09:00 person unknown has accessed an antique shop on Mengham Road and taken various pieces of jewellery.
21/04/2019 – Ref 44190136987
Between 01:00 and 07:00, persons unknown forced entry into a property on Sinah Lane and stole various items, such as purses and wallets. A VW camper van was also stolen from the address.
29/04/2019 – Master Ref 44190146491
Over the course of the night a number of properties in the Hollow Lane area were accessed and items stolen. A 15 year old male and 16 year old male have been arrested and released but remain under investigation.

A group of males entered an address on Sandy Beach Estate and assaulted the occupant. A 23 year old male was arrested and has been released, remaining under investigaton.

Sometime overnight persons unknown have spray painted a car on West Lane.

At approximately 22:30 a group of approximately 10 youths have caused a car to stop on Manor Road before throwing stones at them.

Hayling Garage reporting that damage has been caused to their cameras by two unidentified males who were trying car doors.

Report received that a fence post had been thrown through a window on Kings Road. A large number of youths were found nearby who were removed from the area by police. Unfortunately a suspect was not identified.
10/04/2019 – Ref 44190123642
Coach company reporting that at some time overnight persons unknown have broken into one of their coaches in Mill Rythe Holiday Village and vandalised it. Offender(s) also stole an emergency hammer.
11/04/2019 – Ref 44190124833
Person reporting that overnight their van was broken into on Victoria Road. A sat-nav and quantity of cash was taken.
We are currently looking for volunteers for our local Community Speedwatch group. Speedwatch is a scheme run jointly with members of the Hayling Community and local Police and is all about educating drivers regarding their speed and the dangers of driving too fast. Hopefully you see them regularly out and about monitoring the speed of passing cars. If you would like more information, please reply to this alert or you can email us at
