Shed burglaries

Alert message sent 03/05/2019 07:02:00

Information sent on behalf of Hampshire Constabulary

Dear all
Good morning

Overnight of May 1st and 2nd 2019 two garden sheds have been broken into at houses in Dummer Down Lane, Dummer with four chainsaws and an electric extension lead being stolen.
The thieves have gone into the rear gardens from a field which is behind the houses, this is the exact same style used recently at Axford when again garden sheds were broken into after the thieves entered from a field at the rear of the homes.
I urge all residents to please make sure your garden sheds are secure, use bolts and not screws on the door hinges and lock hasps, mark and record details of valuable equipment and machinery and please consider shed alarms several of which are now battery operated.
If anyone was in Up Street, Dummer between these times and saw anything suspicious, or any suspicious vehicles please call 101 or Crime Stoppers on 0800 555111 and quote crime reference 44190151662.
Many thanks
