Shed Breaks

Alert message sent 04/03/2019 13:25:00

Information sent on behalf of Hampshire Constabulary

Dear residents,

We have recently received reports that a number of sheds have been broken into in the Fareham area.

We are asking residents to check  that their gardens and sheds are secure so that they have not fallen victim to this as well.

Below you can find some crime prevention advice for sheds or outbuildings:

  • Secure the access to your shed or garden by locking the gate
  • Visibly marking the contents of your shed
  • Making a note of serial numbers and photograph any valuables
  • Use external security lights
  • Lock the shed doors and windows
  • Use strong padlocks and strengthen door hinges
  • Chain mowers, bikes and ladders
  • Alarm your shed

If you see anything suspicious or out of place, please don't hesitate to give us a call on 101..

Kind regards,
Fareham Neighbourhood Policing Team
