UPDATE CCTV image issued following attempted robbery in Basingstoke

Alert message sent 28/01/2019 11:24:00

Information sent on behalf of Hampshire Constabulary

UPDATE

Last week we appealed for witnesses following an attempted robbery at the Co-op store in Blackdown Close.

It happened at 10.30pm on Saturday, January 19.

A man went into the shop and demanded money from the till.

When he was challenged he ran out of the store empty-handed, in the direction of Buckskin Lane.

Fortunately nothing was taken and no one was hurt.

We are now in a position to issue this CCTV of a man we would like to speak to.

We know you can't see his face but do you recognise the clothing? Do you know who this is?

If you do please call us on 101, quoting 44190023181, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
